Wishlist Wednesday #1

It's confession time: I have a slight addiction to shopping online. When I was teaching five classes a semester at two different Los Angeles universities, this habit lay dormant, as I simply had no free time. But in transitioning to life after political science, I've rediscovered the joys of Amazon, Etsy, and Modcloth, along with some new favorites: Unique Vintage, Pinup Girl Clothing, and Bernie Dexter among them. My wardrobe has never been better, but I'm rapidly approaching Closet Overload.

(Fact: older buildings, such as the one I now live in, tend to have less storage space than newer construction, such as my old apartment in LA. The explanation probably has something to do with the growth of consumerism in America, as reflected in the size of my wardrobe versus the average woman's wardrobe in, say, 1950. But I'll save the sociological speculation for another day.)

Anyway. The internet is full of lovely things, and here are some of the ones I'm currently obsessed with:

This green dress from Hello Holiday is my ideal floral print in my all-time favorite color. It looks like it would make the perfect winter dress, accessorized with a cute belt, cropped cardigan, opaque black tights, knee boots, and pretty scarf.

The Hell Bunny Sonia is another lovely winter option. I'd pair it with my ruby red Malco Modes tea-length petticoat. Best of all, it's machine-washable! I need this dress.

I literally dreamed about this Vivien of Holloway dress last night. I'm not usually one for halters, but it combines my two favorite colors (green and red! Every day is Christmas!) in such a delightful print that I'm willing to dig out my convertible bra.

I've seen Hunter's on a bunch of different blogs recently, and I've caught the bug! These cherry red, shiny wellies are the perfect way to keep your feet dry in style.

Bunnies always make me think of my sister, and this Erstwilder brooch would go with just about everything in my wardrobe. I think it might be several collections old, so it's not widely available, but in searching for it, I stumbled on Aubijou Boutique's treasure trove of Erstwilder brooches.

This Heart of Haute skirt hasn't been released yet, but when it is, it's mine! I live for strawberry prints.

This rainbow throw pillow would look adorable on my white couch. Alas, I already have too many pillows...

What's on your wish list?

    1. The Eva Marie is so gorgeous -- I love how the white trim at the collar is subtle, but makes the dress so special!
